A leading German online retailer is using fluidOps eDataCenterAnalyzer and the Information Workbench platform. The customer improves the data quality in its Configuration Management Database (CMDB). In a next step, the platform will automatically perform consistency checks on the CMDB and update values.
fluidOps simplifies the use and provisioning of information. Heterogeneous data sources can be quickly integrated using the provider framework, providing transparency of the existing data. Using a few steps, users can link and enhance data flexibility. Visualizing and analyzing large, linked data sets can be accomplished very simply and data can then be used by operators to trigger actions and processes.
“With its semantic technologies, fluidOps supports customers to overcome the limitations of the relational data models of the CMDB. The CMDB regularly imports the data into the Information Workbench and it detects the inconsistencies in the data sources. The platform scores points for its agility and its enormous flexibility”, says Rainer Neideck, Head of Collaboration Division at Unisys Germany.
fluidOps partner Unisys, a worldwide information technology company specializing in custom solutions, owns the required skills and expertise in order to provide all kind of consulting and implementation services with regards to fluidOps Next Generation Data Management tools. “fluidOps is ideal for the integration and management of large data sets. In this case large data sets were enabled for semantic use without increasing the footprint of the existing central CMDB,” adds Thomas Grauer, SVP Sales and Marketing at fluidOps.
