Landscape as a Service
Bring your enterprise applications to the cloud with eCloudManager!
Challenges
A recurring theme, whether for commercial application hosters, internal hosters, test centers, development centers, or similar enterprise groups, is that all of these run a number of landscapes of enterprise applications. While enterprise applications are extremely powerful and can drive entire organizations, they are also extremely complex and become a burden when it comes to provisioning and maintaining, thus not yet taking advantage of the benefits offered by private and public clouds.
Our Solution
|
Targeting mission-critical application landscapes, the fluidOps eCloudManager™ enables Virtual Landscape management that includes the rapid automated provisioning and deep monitoring of complete and ready-configured enterprise application landscapes, such as SAP®, Microsoft®, Oracle®, etc. This brings a true Landscape as a Service (LaaS)™ offering to private and public enterprise clouds, where enterprise application landscapes can be provisioned, administered, monitored and delivered to end users through an enterprise portal. The results are unprecedented virtualization benefits of system flexibility, automation and unified control.

» What is a Virtual Landscape?
Within the eCloudManager,
a Virtual Landscape is an isolated logical group consisting of a number of applications that are made available as virtual machines (VM) by underlying hypervisors such as VMware vSphere, MS Hyper-V, Citrix XenServer, etc., or that are running on physical servers.
The encapsulated landscape is managed by a dedicated Virtual Landscape Manager™, which is a preinstalled virtual appliance that manages the landscape from a networking and application perspective, and controls the structure, properties and outside interactions of a Virtual Landscape.
» How Does It Work?
The eCloudManager administrative dashboards provide data center and application operators with application information (e.g. from SAP CCMS) as well as with information regarding the interconnections between the applications and the infrastructure resources (storage, compute, network), while the eCloudManager self-service portal makes available a service catalog containing Application and Landscape templates which can be instantiated by end users on-demand. This provides enterprises with full control not only over their storage, compute and network resources, but also over the life cycle of their enterprise applications through a single, unified management console.
Further information you will find in the Whitepaper “Making the Case for the Private SAP Cloud”.
