SAP Virtualization Week 2010
fluid Operations will be presenting and exhibiting eCloudManager at this year's SAP Virtualization Week in Palo Alto from April 12th to 16th.
eCloudManager is the foundation of the SAP Virtual Landscape Management platform. The event, now being held the 4th year, is the most important SAP spotlight on virtualization and cloud computing benefits for SAP customers, and we are proud to have been selected from among a long list of presentation submissions. The presentation, titled "Virtual Landscape Management for SAP - Best Practice and Business Impact of Running Private and Public SAP Clouds" will showcase a number of successful implementations and the outstanding ROI that has been achieved in each. Presentation on Semantic Cloud Management
Dr. Haase gave a presentation on eCloudManager's semantic integration technology
at the European Semantic Technology Conference (ESTC). The talk highlights
how eCloudManager leverages semantic technologies in order to drive stack virtualization,
i.e. the seamless vertical integration of application, compute, network, and storage data
as well as the unified horizontal access to storage and hypervisor technologies from various vendors.
The conference was organized by STI International on december 2nd and 3rd in Vienna.

Presentation on Hybrid Clouds
Dr. Eberhart gave a speech at the 24th AIK-Symposium on the topic of Hybrid Clouds.
The talk outlined the transformation from datacenters to private clouds
as well as how the upcoming version of eCloudManager addresses
hybrid cloud challenges around SLAs and workload placement.
The Symposium was hosted by the Karlsruhe Insitute of Technology (KIT)
on 2009/10/23 in Karlsruhe.

SAP TechEd Phoenix 2009
As part of our strategic partnership with GOPA ITC to deliver

EMC Forum 2009 in Frankfurt
fluid Operations presented at the regional event "Das virtuelle
und effiziente Rechenzentrum der Zukunft" to highlight the eCloudManager 2.0
capabilities for SAP application management in private clouds, such as rapid
provisioning of complete SAP landscapes, unprecedented application
assurance, and system-wide monitoring. Dr. Andreas Eberhart's presentation
was titled "Maximierung des Virtualisierungsinvestments fuer
SAP-Umgebungen: Die Ausbaustufe". The event, which was platinum sponsored by
Fujitsu, was held in the Frankfurt CongressCenter.

fluidOps signs on to the Open Cloud Manifesto
With its vendor-agnostic technology and open-source VMFS driver, fluidOps is a prominent example
of a company dedicated to open standards and an open community. The Open Cloud Manifesto intends
to initiate a conversation that will bring together the emerging cloud computing community (both
cloud users and cloud providers) around a core set of principles. These core principles are rooted
in the belief that cloud computing should be as open as all other IT technologies.

VMworld 2009
fluid Operations exhibited in the New Innovator pavilion at the VMworld virtualization
show in San Francisco, August 30th to September 3rd. New features of the eCloudManager such as the
snapshot-based VM recovery were demonstrated publicly for the first time.

eCloudManager Product Suite 2.0 released
We've now implemented the VMFS driver into our flagship eCloudManager tool-set for previously
impossible features such as a VM recovery based on snapshots.
The latest eCloudManager release allows productive customer use and was made available as a
controlled roll-out since the end of August.

fluid Operations helps SAP achieve TCO Reduction through Virtualization
SAP implemented a solution to improve the provisioning and operation of SAP landscapes dramatically.
It is built on VMware's virtualization Infrastructure, NetApp's storage systems
and the fluid Operations eCloudManager. At the CoE datacenter, more than 100 SAP system landscapes with
more than 500 virtual machines are running on VMware's ESX infrastructure, providing a stable project environment for
almost all SAP business application products.

fluid Operations released another Open Source tool to ease a developer's life. License Collector is an
Ant Task to render a HTML 3rd Party License Term List which is often required when using various Open Source
tools and libraries in your own project. It is easy to use and helps you to comply with the different license agreements.

Open Source Program Started
fluid Operations is a strong supporter of open source projects and the open source community.
Therefore, fluid Operations officially started its Open Source Program and makes core
technologies available to the community. As a first step we released our
Open Source VMFS Driver, which will be an integral part of our upcoming eCloudManager products.
Now you can analyze and access VMFS storage from any host.
